I love jackets and coats. By just wearing  it over a t shirt, it makes you stand out. I will love to own more jackets or coats. The issue is, Singapore weather is just so hot and humid. You can wear them at air conditional places but once you are out on the street, you will melt with it.

I was at Topman last Friday and I saw this jacket that looked really nice. After fitting it on, a thought came to my mind. Where can I actually wear this?My office? Shopping centre? Church? Not a lot of places! You will have to take it off when you are on the streets, which is really troublesome.

It will be really great if the  weather continues to be around 26-27 degrees. I will be able to wear the different jackets and coats on the street.

I have not yet watch 2012 but I will be definitely watching it. I love disastrous movie. I have watched “the day after tomorrow” at least 5 times.

Is the world going to end soon? I got a feeling that it is. Judging from the last ten years, so many things happened around the world. The 9/11 incident, tsunamis, SARS, H1N1, 2008 Economic Meltdown.

I’m not sure whether is this normal but I do have strange feelings about all this. I’m too young to die. I’m not even married or have my own kids. There are still so many things I want to do.

Anyway, that’s not in my control, so I’m not worrying.

Sorry guys for not updating. I have been busy for the whole of this week. Still I tried to write something but end up with something intellectual that I myself find it boring.

Life is pretty much the same. Everyday becomes a routine.

Life is not always fill with excitement. There will be boring or routine days. The day I came to realize this, I started to learn how to enjoy a moment like this.  I think everyone; especially guys expect an adrenaline rush everyday of our life.

It could be because in the past, we used to be hunters. The adrenaline kicks in to help us to be effective in hunting. Nowadays most of us don’t hunt. Instead we become subjects of corporation. Nothing bad, except that work might become predictable.

Why not slow down and take a breath? Before life decide to kicks off and gives you a twisty turning ride.

Marketing is one of the core areas of a business operation. Marketing simply means getting the news out. During the nomad era people simply marketed their product through word of mouth. Then came the invention of print papers when people were allowed to advertise through print advertisement.

But nothing has affected business more than the introduction of television. With the introduction of television, the attention of people is fully put upon the goggle box. This allows companies to subconsciously put the image of their products into the minds of the viewers.

During the weekly shopping because the viewer has seen the image of the certain product for countless of times, as the result of spending hours in front of theTV, she brought the product. The product might not necessary be the best but as long as it works to the requirement of the viewer, she wouldn’t bother about the little difference it has compare to the rival brand.

For a while, companies that had the resources seemed to have the answer to selling their products – Spending on advertising, which brought in higher revenue, which was then put into advertising and the process continued.

As a result, TV business became lucrative. Because it is lucrative, more TV stations are formed. Now instead of the 5 channels that people used to have, it ballooned to hundreds.

Users are spoiled for choices. Marketing becomes confusing and complicated once again.

To make things more complicated, the Internet became popular. Small or start up company no longer need to have the resources that big companies have to achieve the same result.

All of a sudden a new wave of marketing ideology came. Instead of being forced down the face of a certain idea of a product, people now have the say on what works and what don’t.

This is written purely based on the imagination of the writer without any research to base upon. The writer does not have any formal education in any aspect of marketing or business, therefore nothing should be taken too seriously. Any ideas that are debatable can and should be debated.

Ian Fisher: How an American soldier is made.

Ian Fisher: How an American soldier is made.
This is a beautiful capture of how an America soldier is made. It reminds me of my own army story. Even though it’s only training and no war. (I’m glad there’s actually no war.)

I have many army stories to tell too. How I wish there’s a camera to capture every moment of it.

From my enlistment to school of infantry specialist to school of armour to unit. How I survived the many outfield.Maintaining the vehicle in the strangest condition.(I will never forget the day I changed my vehicle track with my section mate in the first cold, rainy and windy night in Taiwan.) Oversea trip in Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand. Bubble tea and Ji Pa in Taiwan. (yam yam!) How I almost die in Australia after crashing to a tree.  Horrible instructor and Superior. Commanders I respected  and so many more.

My 2 years in army was so interesting that I couldn’t have ask for more.

I miss laksa.

I realize that it has been months since I have eaten a bowl of Laska. Laska is my favorite food since primary school. I remember when I was young whenever my family went out for a meal, I would always order Laska. Nowadays, I’m very conscious of my diet. With a low metabolism rate, I can’t afford to indulge in rich and oily food. Maybe one of this day, I will declare an indulgent day and proceed with my Laska craving.
